Sixteen grape Veneto blend including twelve red grapes (Corvina, Corvinone, Rhondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Teroldago, Croatina, Oseleta, Sangiovese and Mazzamino) and four white grapes (Garganega, Trebbiano, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay). Dark ruby color with garnet highlights. Aromas of red and black berry fruit with hints of purple flowers and leather. The palate is more cooked black fruit focused (plum, blackberry, black currant) with touches of baking spices, chocolate and vanilla. Nice smoky and mineral notes on the very long finish. For all that’s going on in this wine, it is quite harmonious, fresh tasting and pleasant. Excellent balance and integration. Dense and rich but not over the top. So good! — 10 months ago
Needs air at this young age but quickly hits its stride. Really fragrant, with zesty, ripe berries, spice, a yeasty, fresh bread note, and mineral-flecked turned gravel. Loads of upfront fruit, but in a dry package with zingy acids. Slight bitter note complements the fruit. So pure tasting and food flexible. Textbook. — 2 years ago

Very nice, slightly dry but smooth. Great with meatloaf. — 2 years ago
Blend of Corvinone, Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Dark ruby color with a garnet rim. Aromas of cherries, cocoa powder, leather, forest floor and dried rose petals. Interesting flavors of dried red and black cherry fruit, cola, bacon fat and tobacco. A bit of a smoky note on the medium-plus/very smooth finish. Syrupy, complex and rich. Well layered and fairly well balanced. Silky tannins. Thanks for sharing, Keith S! — 4 months ago
One of the wines that has made Allegrini famous, vineyard surrounds Villa della Torre. A blend of about 40% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella & 5% Sangiovese, deep Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruit and black pepper spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with vanilla, figs and licorice notes, good balance, lively acid with fine chewy tannins. Medium finish ending with fruit, mineral and earthy spice. Nice value. — 10 months ago

Classic old-style lighter Valpo. Cherry, almond, bitter herbs, and gravel on the nose. Bright and almost ethereally textured on the flowing palate. Nice acids, and a slightly bitterish cleansing close. Imperfect? No, perfect. (The 9.3 doesn’t reflect that this is as complex or complete a wine as, say, a Burgundy or Napa Cab to which I might give the same rating, but that it is exactly what it is supposed to be and I’m enjoying it for that.) — a month ago
