Les Amidyves Côtes du Ventoux Grenache Blend 2016

Lavender, floral, dried red cherry fruit, very complex aromatics, flavors of red cherry, some tannins, also the 15% ABV shows late (my only real nit), medium-long finish, solid Ventoux rouge! — a month ago

The Shop Pinot Noir 2021

Somewhat of a departure from past vintages. Seems like less oak and less intervention. Expensive for what it is. Solid pairing with some gamey ass duck. (Terrible lighting) — 8 months ago

Block B Paso Robles Syrah 2018

2018 vintage. 100% syrah. Willow Creek District. Paderewski Vineyard. Heavy body. Multi-faceted nose. Price has crept up substantially so it is no longer a QPR/bang for the buck darling but is still rocking at full volume. Sometimes, you gotta drop the coin for the concert. 5.29.24. — 5 months ago

These can be monsters young, but I’m a fan.

Rivers-Marie

B. Thieriot Vineyard Chardonnay 2022

The recently released (3/24) Bodega Theriot Chardonnay from Rivers-Marie is excellent. Sunlit straw color, subtle nose, beautiful white fruits, crushed stone and the slightest bit of oak at the back to round it off. This should gain depth from its existing heights! — 6 months ago

Wallufer Walkenberg Spätlese trocken Riesling 2021

Compared to the last Becker dry Spatlese tasted, this was less inviting: a bit more mineral & stony, with none of the fruit flavors associated with Riesling to be found. Very chiseled & imagine needs time in bottle/ long decant. You can still taste the precision though. — 8 months ago
