Deux Monts Bourgueil Cabernet Franc 2010

Beautiful CF from a great vintage. Loads of violets, blackcurrants, berries, savory soil and meaty umami tones, juicy, elegant, long. No need to wait — 8 days ago

Les Monts de la Vallée Extra Brut Pinot Noir 2018

Depth and richness here. Good structure and plenty of ripe fruit notes. Nothing out of sorts and drinking well at this stage. Disg 4-2021 — 3 months ago

Le Bois des Merveilles Mourvedre Blend

Tasted on Wednesday 14 May 2025: A wine that evokes the heart of a burning forest — old-vine Grenache and century-old Carignan conjure up smoldering earth, wild herbs, and dark berries. It’s raw, intense, and untamed, like fire licking through ancient woods.

Monts Mains Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2018

2018 vintage. Double decanted and tasted after one hour at approx 59-60 degrees. Medium Chablis body. Lilacs, lemon curd, minerals aplenty along with a slightly curious, white pepper, finishing splash. Obviously too soon as this could easily stretch two decades. Saying this as a decided Chablis non-fan but this was arguably the best white (sparkling or flat) I've had in quite a spell. Le woof. 10.25.25. — 8 days ago

Monts Damnés Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Rounded and quite plush on the nose. A little whiff of age… rounded and still quite fresh. Lacks the cut of the younger wines — 7 months ago

Les Monts Damnés Chavignol Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Slightly oxidized. Oily soft lemon. Nice but lacks some of the drive it has in youth — 10 hours ago

La Côte des Monts Damnés Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2018

I've had worse! But 2017 edges this one out slightly. This 2018 is less complex, but shows pleasant flavors of green apple, melon, grass... a stiffer finish than previous vintages.

The 14’ red Burghs have disappointed me so far.

Given the village and terroir - I thought this would show higher in points.
