Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Pretty nose with wild flowers, red and black fruits, light oak, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, spices, dark chocolates, barnyard, light earth, herbs, licorice and black pepper.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak, licorice, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco, tar, vegetables, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 9 year old Syrah from Northern Rhône is drinking very nicely now. Rich and fruit forward.
Extracted and in your face kind of wine. A little stinky, in a good way, as expected. Complex, elegant and smooth.
Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 7 years.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. I had the 2016 not too long ago, and liked it better.
Good by itself and better with food.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2022 pours a pale coral color with a transparent core; medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with a refreshing mix of tart and ripe red fruits; strawberry, watermelon dry underbrush, red flowers, and wet stone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry; tannins are light with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and saline. Lovely texture. This continues to be a benchmark for rosé. Drink now through 2032. — 12 days ago
Fresh, softly fruity, not sweet. Perfect in day time, should drink cold. — 18 days ago
Refreshing almost dry Rosé. We enjoyed it with chicken and by itself. Flavors of strawberry, citrus and minerals. — 9 days ago
Waited a year to open this bottle in celebration of my wife and I’s wedding anniversary. Raspberry, strawberry, tart, smooth, yet slightly acidic. Might be biased due to the occasion, but this bottle is really amazing! Happy anniversary to my beautiful bride ❤️ — 22 days ago
A great rose. Full bodied but crisp. — 16 days ago

Ample black currant aromas overflowing from my glass. Oak. Roses. Spices. Black berry. Still fresh, but rounded. Balanced sweetness and spiciness. 2 hours, tropical fruits? Melted tannic, so smooth. With bitterness is also impacted. Vanilla, oak. Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Paul Hobbs Wines 18 @14960, Toscan, 240914 — 18 days ago
