Dear Friends warning this wine needs 48 hours to open up! I kept it for that time under Argon!
Still think the 2015 Muschelkalk mights have peaked. I opened 3 bottles. The first was oxidized and the other 2 were good to world class. The cork on all three was quite soft.
The wine has this ethereal character but the twisty black forest herbs are somewhat gone. It is still great to drink - but to shine one needs stupido patience.
Calk, very faint cherry. (Collecting E&M since 2009. And have been at the winery every other year.).
If you have it you must really experiment and play around but also - drink it up! Not a wine for normal or sane people.

Edith loves it. Drank for New Years with Laura & Jakob — 2 years ago
2019 vintage. Château La Fleur Cailleau, Canon-Fronsac. Bought in 1982 by Paul Barré (also Château La Garde, Fronsac) and managed these days by his son Gabriel and his wife Edith. Biodynamically farmed since 1990. Very impressive indeed, with an exemplary purity of fruit, ripe tannin and energetic acidity. Highly recommended. Abv. 14,5%. — 4 years ago
Excellent Riesling that is not over sweet, and which is perfectly balanced between fruit and acidity. Ready to drink now. — 6 years ago
Very easy drinking — 6 years ago
Pretty color of peach with a salmon hue.
Soft nose of light raspberries, fresh cherries, light citrus, green apples, spices and minerals.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, citrus, peaches, spices, sea salt and cayenne pepper.
Long finish with limes and tart pomegranates.
This is a delicious Rosé from Walla Walla Valley. Rich and creamy. Very spicy and entertaining. Complex and engaging.
Fully dry, but showing this fruitines on the palate, which is very attractive.
This Single Vineyard Rosé is starting to drink beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Showing good balance with a great mouthfeel. Feels like a spicy Bandol Rosé. So interesting.
Wine Enthusiasts 93 points.
Good when properly chilled, but shows the complexity when not too cold.
A great sipping wine.
100% Grenache grapes were aged for 10 months in concrete and stainless steel vats. A small production of only 1,788 bottles. Biodynamic.
13.4% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Pinot Noir? From Sancerre?!? Mais, c’est vrai. In the glass: very pretty reds, light at tops, pink-red near sides of the bowl, darkening to a velvety rich dark rouge-noir center bottom of the glass… “La Vie en Rose” nearly leaps out pf the glass. On the nose: fresh paper and new spring acacia leaves. A pack of Marlborough’s still wrapped in plastic wants to announce itself at the end of a deep sniff. Ahhh, there it is—the spring cherries of a light pinot dance forth over the lips… en point…and plier mid-palate to let roll in lush cherry juice—just a little tart-sweet and delightfully bright… Edith Piaf coloratura leads to French Oak-inflected vanilla on a pillow-soft finish…oh!
A lingering finish at that—extra points, thank you! — 2 years ago
Juicy, fruity, but with a lil bit of weight. Drank as evacuees from Ida in Gulf Shores, AL. — 5 years ago

Crisp, fresh, dry, stone, early spring wildflower blossoms — 5 years ago
I received this bottle as a gift from Edith foe my 60th birthday. It was amazing. Heavy but so smooth! — 6 years ago
Very close to perfection. See previous notes but this also has Iodine (As a chemist i am well familiar with that note). Unspitable. In the top 1%. See my previous notes. Pinot does not get better than this a perfect expression of the site north of Freiburg on the slopes of the black forest. — 5 months ago

Easy to trust Realm’s offerings as quality is always at a premium. I have to admit, my brain had a hard time connecting this type of rosé with Realm (based on their typical style).
My comment above isn’t meant to be good or bad, it’s just amazing that this Provençal type rosé could come from a bigger/powerful style Napa producer like Realm. Kudos to Benoit for knowing what he was going for and being able to create something (a beautiful rosé) from almost nothing (the extremely uneven 2020 vintage). I don’t think I could have called this rosé of merlot if I didn’t know beforehand. To me, this was a blend of high end Provençal rosé with Cayuse’s Edith rosé. Extremely pale salmon color in the glass with aromas of cantaloupe, white peach, faint dragon fruit and an herbal/mineral stony character. The palate here has nice gravitas and a surprising bite at the finish. Strawberry cream-lite, underripe kiwi and some nectarine on the finish. Much more enjoyable at cellar temp compared to being too cold. Don’t think this is one to hold, so enjoy now. — 5 years ago
WNH rosé night.
FÆTHM’s Steel Trap rosé of Grenache. One barrel production. According to the release today, there won’t be a rosé this year.
Deep orange with pink hues in the glass. Aromatically, it’s fairly intense as it sports blood orange, grilled rhubarb, citrus spray and sea salt. This is a Rosé that works best at a certain temp...when too cold, the acidity was ripping and the fruit was muted, but when too warm, it lost structure and heat was noticeable. Spiced red fruits, white pepper, and orange blossom on the palate. This reminds me of a heavier version of Cayuse’s Edith rosé. — 6 years ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
Light in color with a brown twinge. Quite perfumed. Sweet Pinot fruit. Better than their IDA Buntsandstein at this point in it’s evolution. Orange zest, strawberry, cranberry. Quite tart and kind of oaky. For some reason all the big boys of the 20‘ vintage do not come across as a top vintage for E & M. Good but they just don’t reach the heights of other vintage’s. — a month ago
