1989 vintage. Decent fill and cork. Not decanted. Powdery, not chunky, sed. Tasted after 3.5 hours open. Light-medium body. Nose and flavors kept up the intensity in complete harmony. Special. Well-stored examples should yield similar pleasure for another 5-6 years. 03.29.25. — 4 days ago

Sour cherry, sassafras, earth, orange rind, forest floor and great acid. Very nice. — 2 months ago
Have had the 2009 vintage twice, in 2024 at a tasting and in early 2025. The first was the best of the tasting, and the second was a fine compliment to spring leg of lamb. dark fruit and smooth tannins. $68 when purchased in 2024. — 2 months ago
Decanted for 30 minutes. On the nose: cedar, sandstone, currents, hint of leather.
On the palate: dissipating tannin, softening cedar, emerging black cherry fruit and soft sandstone.
This is a big, beautiful Bordeaux at its peak with all the softness in the last sip that comes with age.
Drink it now. — 8 days ago

Latour is definitely one of my top three Bordeaux’s.
Even their 3rd wine is special. First 2010 from the vintage I’ve opened. It didn’t disappoint. Just coming around to nice drinking and has another 10-15 years ahead. 3 hour decant.
Ribeye wine. Happy cow from Los Gatos Meats.
