Paolo Bea dinner at Semo. All wines were prepared by opening and slow-ox, prior to service. Abbreviated notes due to the setting. The 2017 Pipparello pours a garnet color with funky Montmorency cherry, red carnations, and balsamic notes. Wonderful structure and delicious with the quail. Drink now with patience through 2037. Every vintage is a delight.
Light, airy, aetheric and yet with nice precision & purity to the light, crunchy cherry. There’s also a hint of damson plum and cool, rocky minerality. This is very enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with quite present, firm tannin and juicy, vibrant acidity. Cherries again with a mineral undercore. Nice depth and good length here.
Surprisingly youthful for 8y, this is holding up very nicely but is also a joy to drink now. Delish! — a month ago

Enjoyed with some Tuscan steak and pasta while watching the 2926 masters. Wanted Cameron Young but Rory knows how to keep it interesting. That said. Lovely rather light wine on a sunny afternoon. Sorry - more about the ambience than the tasting notes. Ooos. It was Yummy. — 8 hours ago
