Feudi di San Gregorio

Greco di Tufo 2022

This never disappoints. Fruity and well balanced acidity make it a nice aperative on a hot summer day. The bells of the Santa Maria della Costa on 20 meters give it an extra uplift. The view is spectacular btw. — 3 months ago

Cantine Colosi

Sicilia Nero d'Avola 2022

Red fruit, young, fair amount minerality at least initially, interesting wine for the price. The tannins mellowed nicely after it had some time to breath. — 7 days ago

Tasca D'Almerita

Tenuta Regaleali Lamùri Nero d'Avola 2020

This wine is quite dark in the glass. Its nose is powerful, loaded with dark notes like black cherry, tar, leather, and tobacco. The palate is just as dark, with brambly cherry and plum flavors and a heavy dose of earthy minerality. The finish fades more quickly than I would like, because a savory delight is left behind after the sip. I would have this with a lamb burger or Italian sausage and be very happy with the pairing. — a month ago
