the perfect ides of what a fresh, tropical ans satiny natural wine should taste like. its easy drinking, playful and fun, yet you can also sense a deep complexity that went into the vinification process. Plus, the story and wine naming methods of Gut Oggau connects the drinker to the wine in such an interesting way.. love! — 3 months ago
Nose is is all juuuuust ripe citrusy, pulverized rocks, rock dust, lime blossom and saline, airy minerals. Palate is bracing with classic 21 Nahe acids and awesome juuuuuust ripe citrus fruit and lime zest. Nose gets confectionary with air and some appealing underarm funk. Super dry and mineral palate. Like just so severe but I love it. With air now smarties on the nose and juicy apricot on the palate and some lovely blood orange. — a month ago
Surprisingly effervescent! Funky on the nose with notes of overripe raspberries and whey-fermented currant. — 3 months ago

well balanced, the welschriesling gives it an amazing green apple crisp & the gruner humbles it with white pepper notes to make the overall taste to be less comparable to a cidre — a month ago
Outrageous stanky mineral nose right out of the gates. Gorgeous purity and a liquid mineral component. Jaw dropping. Some lemon peel and also a wild, feral element. Wow. super concentrated and tons of sweet and bitter lemon fruit and tons of juicy but stern minerals. Great acids and a long finish. Still needs to open but the purity, clarity and linearity are outstanding. Some citrus oil on the nose and sweet, concentrated citrus on the palate. So juicy. Brilliant stuff. — 4 months ago

Deep and ripe nose that is totally giving me Corton Charlemagne vibes. Ripe apple, melon, cantaloupe and pear. Gorgeous in its purity. Man this is like white burgundy mimicry. Gorgeous spicey notes and complex smokey tones and amazing mineral notes. Such an enveloping and evocative nose. Palate is so awesome. Rich and textured and so deep and this has those German iodine and hazelnut notes that make you think your in Corton Charlemagne. Ripe and unctuous and so forward and unreal marzipan notes on the mid and finish. Wow does this really hammer you on the finish and not let up. Remarkable elegance and large scaled but nimble. As this airs it gains remarkable aromatic complexity with pulverized stones and barely ripe tropical fruits. So complex. Rich yet tense is the biography of this wine. One of the best 18’s I’ve had from Germany. — 5 days ago
