Vintage Port Blend 1977

[8 hour decant] This is from a very fine lot of 1977 Graham’s I purchased in the mid-to-late 1990s from a small Napa importer, and is at the level of the 1977 Fonseca we drank last week, sweet, nice weight and balance, long, lingering finish, very nice!! — 4 days ago

Wallufer Walkenberg Spätlese trocken Riesling 2019

Deep straw in the glass. Nose is buzzing with electric orchard fruit and honeycomb. Ripe citrus, golden apple, and faint tropics on the palate. White tea and honey. Super dry at 13%. Killer. — 3 months ago

Little Hill Pinot Noir 2018

We had a vertical tasting of 2018 and 2020 Little Hill Single Vineyard PN. Both have similar bouquets and palates. Black cherry and minerality. 2020 is a little more floral. 2018 has a more darker tone; and that is good. Both have nice mouthfeels with smoothed out tannins. 2018 is a little more velvety. Both very good. It seems these PN need more time in the bottle — 4 months ago

California Pinot Gris 2021

A nice easy Pinot Gris. We had it with a pesto salmon dinner and it was a perfect compliment! — 4 months ago

J. Daniel Cuvée Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Very full and deep Napa expression. Black and blue berries, dried tobacco, Napa dust, sandalwood and floral accents. Extremely good — 11 days ago

I was just staring down this very bottle yesterday. Decided to let it rest another 2-3 yrs. Love the style of the 18 Napa Cabernets.

Finger Lakes Dry Riesling 2023

Straw and green apples and the nose and palate. Finishes like a Granny Smith. Good acidity with some sugar but not too much sweetness. Reserve is a step up but this is a great value. — 2 months ago
