2023 vintage. From Coravin. Syrah for Cabernet drinkers. Massive, smooth body and currently without any of the quirky, bretty Syrah flavors that can pull a full frontal assault on the palate. Delicious. Would love to taste in a decade to see what weightiness has left the building and how it has been replaced by the wine nature abhors a vacuum flavors. 10.23.24. — a month ago

Crunchy, meaty, red cherries and a lithe texture. Yum! — 5 months ago
Still dark purple color, richer and riper than the 2007 Turner, dark fruits, still showing pretty tannic structure, long finish, very good, but I prefer the freshness (better acidity, lower ABV (by 1%)) of the Turner, should improve another 3-5 years, or more. — a month ago

Chalky, mineral aromas and flavors up front, cooler blue fruits show next, this was probably always my favorite of the Syrah vineyards Joey used, as it usually was the lowest in ABV (13.6% here) and thus showed more freshness and acidity, drinking beautifully tonight!! — 2 days ago
