I love champagne, but the only thing I love more than champagne is free champagne. Was this great because it’s great, or was it great because it was free and unlimited? Does it matter? Super rich and toasty, but still maintains a bright acidity and freshness. I definitely get the classic brioche note, along with apple and citrus. Feels more complex and has more depth than some other champagnes I have tasted. Super crisp and refreshing, but has a richness that makes it feel indulgent. — 4 days ago
Grande Champagne. Always a treat. — 12 days ago
Cork broke, but the juice is good. The nose is shy, but the fruit flavors are vibrant. Tart blackberries, prunes, thyme, earthiness, a bit of tobacco bound in new leather. Tannins medium+, acidity medium+. Enjoy it now or enjoy it in 6-8 years. I really didn't want to do 6-7. I'm enjoying it now with a beautifully cooked sirloin, smashed potatoes, goat cheese, and a simple arugula salad. TGIF!

1990 vintage. Low neck fill. Opened with a Durand but not decanted. Cork 45% saturated but in good shape. Both darker color and slightly less sediment than expected. Secondary and tertiary nose but (still!!??) some primary and ripe cherry and plum flavors in the front and mid-palates. Consistent palate push without any potholes, gaps or regrets. Phenomenal tobacco and fudge notes in the caboose. Based on this baddy, can hold steady for another 5-6 years before a scoring recalibration. Not the biggest Pomerol fan but this didn’t suck. 3.20.26 — 7 days ago

Tasted blind , my wine … after having the other two this was easy ! Medium deep ruby touch of garnet with quite a thin ruby garnet rim . Quite spice tinged nose with , deep cherry , plum and some blackberry . Quite young and reserved , with quite a bit of vanilla , grafite . On the palate this is again quite spiced with dark fruits , plum , cherry, some blackberry , grafite , earthy , coffee touches . Balanced fresh acidity and quite grippy , dry tannins. Good mineral tinged spiced cherry finish . Pretty young still , needs a bit of time but good length and balance. Wait another 5-10 years and will drink well a further 10 . Quite promising. — 10 days ago
