Laurel Hood

Laurel Glen Vineyard

Sonoma Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

2013 vintage. Captures more than a bit of that old-school, 80's-90's Laurel Glen magic and oomph. Firing right now and for the foreseeable future. Medium/medium-heavy body. 2.18.26. — 3 months ago

Laurel Glen

Cabernet Sauvignon 1985

Shows a little of the bell pepper aromas that I often found in older Sonoma Cabs, but nicely balanced fruit that is still quite youthful, tannins have mostly receded, drinking quite well tonight, bravo Patrick for making this gem!! — 3 years ago

Crategus Syrah Blend 2020

Didn’t like this one as much as the first I had. This was more fruit forward with a ton of funk and acidity. After a few hours it was better but given the high amount of acidity and fruit I’m not sure it’ll get better. Reminds me of a good carbonic Grenache or other rhone varietal. Some olives in there as well. It’s good. — 9 months ago

Château Côte de Baleau

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Vintage 2014 | surprisingly good this 2014 from 375ml bottle. Glorious raspberry impression, supported by cedar and spices like laurel and clove. Velvety taste. Paired with a remainder of lambs sheperd’s pie. — 3 years ago
