This is my last bottle of this remarkable single vineyard Syrah, the first bottle consumed about 6 years ago.
The nose opens seamlessly with ripe plum, blueberry compote, and cassis before evolving into savory waves of smoked meat, dark cocoa, dried violet, and aged soy. The palate is full and silky, with a refined sweetness and integrated spice driving a long, savory finish. Still powerful but now balanced and restrained. In peak form. — 2 months ago
Delicious. Paired with just about everything on the table. — 3 months ago
Delicious light and crisp — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2023 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of tart and ripe, citrus and tropical, fruit: grapefruit, passionfruit, white and yellow flowers, alfalfa, jalapeño pepper, and flinty minerals . On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Drink now. — 2 months ago
Discovered at a Baur au Lac Vins tasting, enjoyed it whilst minding Grischa. Perfume on the nose, interesting on the palate. — 20 days ago
Had the 2012, 2013, 2016 and this was by far the standout. Amazing longevity — a month ago

When faced with a difficult list, I will always go with Crochet if it’s there. Consistency and a fair price. — 10 days ago
