On the palate flavors of apple, pear and peach, lemon zest, vanilla oak and wet stone notes. Nice balance with tangy acidity on long finish ending with fruit, oak and rich minerality. Corked broke. Again. Constant issue with older Nickel wines and particularly this one

Thankfully wine was solid. Starts off quite juicy and plush.

With a little time and the right food pairing, it provides a little more grip and flavor.

For me - this took some caviar and salt to really get it going and then it was at another level. Rating is with caviar. Definitely 2-3 pts less without it. — 3 months ago
