On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, medium+ finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit and oak. About every quarter or so i get to try a wine which just strikes me like thunder - this is such a wine. This one has a story (I met Pacalet in Encinitas - a total introvert but genius and bought 6 bottles). Earth, autumn leaves, iron, hint cherry, tannins fully resolved. Tamarind? Touch tumeric. No formal notes . Deeper ruby , medium wide ruby , garnet rim . Nice dark fruits , garrigue , black pepper. In the mouth nicely balanced acidity dark fruits , black pepper and herbal touches . Quite mineral and balanced on the medium length finish , fine slightly grippy tannins . Elegant and refined.
