Medium ruby color. Aromas of mushrooms, forest floor, black cherries and wildflowers. Leaning toward dried blackberry fruit on the palate with additional notes of black cherry, balsamic vinegar, black pepper and dried herbs. Wonderful salty/earthy note on the long and lingering finish. So complex and lively. Medium bodied and well layered. Chalky tannins. Big 15% alcohol content but who cares? Very nice. First bottle pulled of a half case we got when visiting the property 2.5 years ago. Def could take a good bit more time. The tannins seemed to flesh out with air.
