Good balance of oak and butter, fairly light and crisp with a good finish. — 4 months ago
Candied cherry, tobacco, oak, cedar, tar, plum, clove, and black pepper. A big, dark, sultry merlot. Full body, medium plus tannins, high acid, high alcohol, and medium plus finish. — 25 days ago
Lots of dark fruit, jammy. Hints of vanilla and mocha. Good solid Cabernet. — 2 months ago
First post in a very long time after a series of personal and professional setbacks that could have ended badly. Had this beautiful GSM last night - first wine drinking in a while. It was lively with fruit, medium acidity and a long, fine finish. Hi everyone! — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours and alongside Foillard’s “Corcelette” from 2022. The 2014 “Corcelette” from Daniel Boulard pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate stain of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of wild strawberry, pine forest, Juniper berries, forest floor, hot asphalt, sage, leather, and rounded off by the smell of an old, cracked bar of Irish Spring soap from a basement shower. On the palate the wine is bone dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finishes long and gorgeous. Rustic but beautiful and a brutally honest wine. Wow. Drink now through 2034. — 3 months ago
This is a solid cab, although a little subdued given the high praise from Parker. $120, RP 97 points.
