Vega Sicilia started purchasing Toro vineyards in 1997 but didn’t release Pintia until ‘01. 100% Tinta de Toro, thick-skinned clone of Tempranillo, beautiful color, complex aromas of fruit & floral spice. Aged, 18 months, French & American oak, 15% stainless due to very dry year. On the palate pronounced fresh dark berry fruit flavors, smoky oak notes, well balanced with acidity. Complex big tannins, full body, long finish ending with elegant fruit & touch of earthy tones. Nice! Needs time! — 10 hours ago

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Full-bodied with medium acidity.

Very dry on the palate with nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel.

Showing black fruits, cedar, licorice, chocolates, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth and peppercorn.

This is a delicious Tempranillo from Ribera Del Duero in Spain. Elegant and rich. Fruit forward and nicely balanced.

Starting to drink beautifully now, and needs a couple of hours to open up properly, so be patient.

This 5 year old Tempranillo is already complex, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

90/10 Temperanillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is heavy with espresso bean and dark chocolate overshadowing the fruit. Flavors of tart cherry and cranberry giving way to eucalyptus, cedar, Luden's. Whew, it's tight!
