Yes it is a Rosé but i stand by my points/rating. Brought from Münchweier in my suitcase to the US. It was a gift. Very hard to find - the winery in Baden/Germany - really - forget - your maps! Right next to the woods of the black forest. Dark for a Rosé and age worthy. Excellent always but especially this vintage. Rhubarb, Strawberries, Quince, Peach (underripe), pomegranate, bitter orange. Tannins from the skins. Who knows were Florian found these old vine Pinot Grapes. Together with Mark Enfields Rosé the best in the world right now and I assume long sold out! — 3 months ago

My first 2016 BP Estate. Powerful red fruits with a whole bunch stalky element. A typical BP Estate with that stewed fruit rhubarb type character Similar to many other BP Estate Pinots I’ve had on Delectable from other vintages. — 3 years ago

2012 vintage. Nearly perfect fill and cork. Decanted with infinitesimal sed. Aggro rhubarb and cranberry nose. Tasted 30 mins, 1 hour and 3 hours post-decant. Medium body. Excellent focus/concentration. The rhubarb and cranberry still chilling along with a modicum of lemongrass (?!?!) and dark cherry. Lengthy finish redolent of artificial strawberry/strawberry Jolly Rancher candy. Bit of a bucking bronco versus finesse and souplesse. 08.01.25. — 3 months ago

Might be declassified, but it drinks like a tight single vineyard. Very concentrated, fleshy red fruit, not quite raspberry, maybe rhubarb. Any oak influence is not noticeable, if anything contributes to the woodsy quality that keeps the tightly a fruit serious rather than frivolous. The pallet is driven by broad acidity, with tannins spreading to the cheeks that keep things lingering and give way to the spicy finish — a year ago

Quintessential to the history of South Dakota was homemade rhubarb wine! This is a great representation of what tartness can do to balance the sweetness inherent in some of the non-grape wines. Like the tart cherry wines of Michigan, this is iconic of South Dakota. Love it! — 3 years ago

California in a bottle. Really really nice. Rhubarb, Strawberry, lime. And just this color alone is a sales argument. Enfield is without doubt one of the best wineries in CA. I brought this, my last one of these. Opened and decanted 5 hours before serving. Bright tawny and almost opaque. Awesome nose. Seems young.
