Soft tropical fruit and lemon with a touch of pear. Gentle and a touch of yeast — 8 months ago
Brick red, looks like it’s 25 years old. A little light on taste but really elegant and balanced. Dried red cherry, balsamic, roasted plum, cedar, tobacco, violet — 4 months ago
Very interesting Cabernet. For me licorice up front. Not a long finish nor overly tannic but nice and smooth. — a year ago
Dark garnet coloration. On the nose, cherry, balsamic, eucalyptus and minerals. On the palate, cherry, balsamic, eucalyptus/mint and minerals. Long finish of same. Tannins are rather mellow after 15 years. Revisited the following day- on the nose, strawberry, herbs, florals, balsamic. On the palate, strawberry, florals, eucalyptus/mint/clove /spice, balsamic, minerals and long finish. Nicely balanced tannins. — 3 years ago
Fine, standard issue, no weird funk, but no magic. — 7 months ago
Tannins still a bit strong but red fruits and tar are lovely — 7 months ago
Lightly fruity and gentle. Pear, citrus, stone, and a touch of yeast. — 2 years ago
Cincinnato ‘Pollùce’ Nero Buono 2018: Medium-body. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Made from 100% Nero Buono, an ancient grape varietal from the Lazio region of Italy, this wine offered an intense, deep purple color due to the skin and the juice. Primary flavors were dried red fruits, dark fruits, plum, raspberry, blackberry, herbs & earth. The finish was noticeably dry & smooth. Overall, a very nice expressive wine showcasing a great mix of fruit & terroir. A exceptional find and a great pairing for our authentic Roman flatbread called pinsa. Roman food requires Roman wine!
