Very nice, a little age has helped bring out some complexity. But the 14.5% weighs it down a bit — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two hours. The 2022 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart orchard fruit: passion fruit, lemon, sea spray, white flowers, lanolin and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with a wooly texture and lovely minerals. Drinking now through 2037. — 4 months ago

Pure gamey, earthy and smoky Sierra Foothills Syrah, this has aged effortlessly, balance, acidity, complexity, presents as quite French in style, my three favorite reds from Hank and Caro were always the Home Vineyard (until yields got so low I couldn’t even buy it), then the Sumu Kaw Syrah, and the Cedarville Vineyard Mourvèdre (I think the 2007 of this latter wine was the first “released” LCF red wine)!! This has 5+ years of further aging ahead, beautiful red (13.5% ABV)!! Bravo to Hank and Caro!! — 18 hours ago
