Delightfully sour with a salinity that grew as I drank more. Thought I caught hints of wet dog on the nose, but I think I’m crazy. Dry and drinkable, and I just might go back for a few more bottles. — 4 days ago
Amazing dark plum colors, earth spices, cherry, red fruits- supple tannins and a smooth finish — 13 days ago
2017 vintage. Extremely difficult to get past the coconut/pickles nose with the aggressive oak. Flavors better than scents currently. Could use an hour or two in a decanter or 7-8 years in the bottle to minimize said oak. Medium body. Will eventually lead the group on an epic hike but not in the next few years. 03.05.25. — 4 days ago
Not very often do I post European wines. I do drink them from time to time but so much to explore in California! 1999 “Unico” brought by master sommelier Jay Fletchers to Cache Cache in Aspen. Richness and restraint with a deep almost coffee-like intensity. — 11 days ago
Wanted to test a bottle. Took a full 24 hrs to reach drinkability. At that point, delicious and more nuanced than expected. — 14 days ago
Pale lemon color with stone, citrus and tropical fruit aromas and herb floral scents. On the palate flavors of apples, grapefruit and pear with lemon citrus and chalky notes. Good balance with pleasant lively acidity, medium+ finish ending crisp with mineral, citrus, floral and wet stone nuances. — 2 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2016 Reserva pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red and black fruits: black cherry, tobacco, cocoa, dill, vanilla and associated warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is a textbook, modern leaning and clean version of Rioja Reserva. Drink now through 2046. — 20 days ago

I have always loved old world and some of the old vine Grenache examples coming from Australia recently but Priorat always remains a favourite. Red and blue fruits on nose and palate. The medium bodied palate shows spice, blueberry and raspberry (sweet). A robust yet flavoursome wine. Earthy, mineral, sweet and savoury. Finishes dry with persistence of flavour - very satisfying. We had a memorable tasting there in June 2022 with the family. — 3 days ago
