The Mauer where it’s only the grapes picked from the wall where they absorb heat from the day. Peaches and steel. A hint of sweet. Lovely mouthfeel. Fresh and delicious and long. — 3 years ago

Nazi wine. Look at the eagle 🦅A gift from my son in Germany. Hi it’s of honey and crisp green apples upfront. Only mildly sweet then a dry finish. — 6 years ago
Refreshing, crisp, slightly effervescent, and not too sweet. Would enjoy again if looking for a Riesling — 8 months ago
This bottle a bit muted relative to last few fireworks. Undeniably burgundian build but somehow screaming Cote-Rotie / St Joseph fruit profile. Dazzling. — 2 years ago
Cherry, leather and tobacco. High acidity. Yummy pinot. :) — 2 years ago
Prrfectly aged with incredible tones of honey and lime — 5 years ago
Kloster Eberbach Baiken Riesling Trocken 2011 (Gutsabfüllung aus dem Cabinetkeller, Rheingau)
Big, complex nose with lovely (although far from finished) maturity (petrol, struck match, butter). There’s also honey and ripe yellow fruit (and lots of it).
Wine is intensive on palate with a high, singing acidity. Nice mix of concentrated tropical fruits, spice and maturity notes such as honey, petrol, which makes the palate even more complex than the nose. Finish is long and like nectar.
With all the mature notes sitting in the first seat along with a high acidity - I would really like to try it again with some mature hard cheese. — 6 years ago
