A delicate whiff of dusty dried violets gives way to cedary spice and crushed plums as the 2020 Luce slowly opens in the glass. This is soothingly round and supple with cooling acidity and a tinge of minerality up front. Tart red berry fruits swirl across a stream of zesty acidity. The 2020 displays fantastic depth and concentration, tapering off long and gently tannic as black raspberries pucker the cheeks. This is a very approachable vintage of Luce, yet the balance is spot on. Nicely done. (Eric Guido, Vinous, September 2024)

So bright and perky for a 14 year old wine made from dried grapes! So bright and perky period, actually. Red-fruit forward but with plum fruit leather and dried apricot but like soaked in a brine of incense—there’s spice and leather hiding in there but the fruit leads the way. Heady. At least in alcohol department it’s a stunner in a leather jacket on a bike but once it escorts you to your picnic sport it’s all fancy, brie, baguette and grapes it may even peel for you (except not that because it’s tannins are so appealingly ripe).
It finishes like a likely spiced cordial who also knows how to spar, light on its surprisingly sturdy toes. — 2 months ago
Lovely corvina blend! Dark ruby in color and full-bodied. Blackberries, black plum, and a hint of lemon. Medium tannins that leave a pleasant aftertaste. Will absolutely seek this vintage again. — 7 hours ago
