Austere was the first word that came to mind and then I saw it in @Tom Casagrande’s review as well (though of the previous vintage). Overall I still enjoyed it, but you have to be in the mood for a crisp, somewhat bitter, reclusive wine. — 2 months ago
Quite nice for the price - refreshing — 5 months ago
Personally i found this the great surprise of the line up.
Mainly Bovale finished off with some cannonau and carignan.
9 months of new barrique which the wine digests incredibly well.
Nice fruit, but the floral that the Bovale gives to the wine truly fascinates me and keeps me interested during every sip.
Tannin that will get smoother, but is already enjoyable.
Long finish
It is not the Turriga, but honestly i did not remember its beauty. Very elegant — 7 hours ago
One of the better DEIs — a month ago
Received from Italy - I enjoy Aglianico wines and this did not disappoint. — 3 months ago
Well structured and balanced, it displays an iconic ruby/garnet appearance, followed by secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors of woodland herbs, dried fruits and nuts, plus flavorsome balsamic nuances, and interesting red fruit undertones.
Overall, quite elegant and refined; medium bodied, with ample acidity, dusty tannins and a long, satisfying finish. If you’ve got it, now is the time. — 3 months ago
After tasting the whole range from Argiolas you also rwalise how they got to this blend.
This is stunning, it absorbed 18 months of new oak easy.
Cannonau gives the freshness and the fruit with the carignan, the bovale donates the tannin and the floral shade and Malvasia Nera the aromatic.
Super velvety, fresh, complex and above all long.
It goes without saying this is only a baby. — 7 hours ago
I really liked it, enjoyed the kiwi and Stone fruit notes. Also the heavier weight. Kyle said it was too tangy for him. 😕 — 7 hours ago
Gorgeous bottle of ruby red shades and intense aromatics featuring vanilla, spices, rose petals, and nuts. Quite complex. Great medium+ body and strong acidic structure but with a refined weight and balance, it’s not overpowering but has a lot of character. Really good lingering finish. — 4 months ago
