Very pale lemon in colour particularly for a 13 year old wine. Aromas of wet hay, toast, lime and lemon curd notes. On the palate that soapy lanolin like texture you get with aged Semillon. My last 2009. If I had another one it would be ok to drink in the next few years. A prolific trophy winner on the Australian Show Circuit as you can see from the label. — 3 years ago
On the nose the fruits have taken a back seat to honey, dried hay, lightly roasted nut, and flinty minerals. The palate is intense and viscous with complex tastes of bruised apple, apricot, lime, honeysuckle, and honey. Sharp acidity is a bit aggressive at times, but countered by hint of sweetness. Saline long finish.
Very good, but a bit below my expectation. Not sure it will continue to improve after 14 years. — 2 months ago
Wow, really impressive. So tightly wound but with gorgeous structure and fruit. I would have expected a much higher Cab Franc percentage. So fine and sophisticated, loved it. — 9 months ago
Cherry, hay, earth, plum somehow. Nice typical nose. The palate is well designed with a great acid backbone, a nice cherry note that shines all through the palate, soft, almost cushiony mouthfeel, a great build up in the rear with a tiny tannins effect that create a tiny distorsion in the mouthfeel before a fruit forward finish with a tiny bitter note that pops up. In a much better place than the last bottle. 2 more bottles out of the 6-box we bought in August last year — 3 years ago
Golden hay color. Aromas of pineapple, honey, apple, peach, white floral, and lemon. Beautifully balanced with a hint of minerality. Dry, medium body and acidity. Best white wine I’ve had in a while! — 7 months ago
Let this warm a bit from fridge temp.
Large glass.
Briny, acid packed, ( there’s not a lot of nose…yet) straw/hay, yellow stone fruits. Really nice lingering pricklinesses,
Goes very well with Charred raab & orange shrimp. In my glass, quite orange tinged, in the Mrs. Smaller glass, pale white?

Pear, yellow apple, minerals, hay. Lots of ripe pear and apple on the palate with some bread crust and steely minerality. A touch of bitterness and alcohol heat as well. Medium acidity.
Good balance and nice, ripe fruit flavors. — 3 years ago

A mid straw yellow in colour. Aromas are lemon and lime, lemongrass, mineral, wet hay with toastiness and lanolin starting to emerge at 13 years of age. Light bodied but great intensity - a richer texture for a Semillon, bearing in mind that this wine sees no oak at all - stainless steel all the way. Only 11% alcohol. Luckily I have 4 bottles left - a cellar life extending to 2030+. — 11 days ago
