Primarily Zinfandel (88%) with many other Red and White varieties making up the balance. Dark ruby color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of red and black berry/cherry fruit with hints of fresh herbs, red flowers and asphalt. Flavors of black cherry, raspberry, black plum, black licorice and roasted herbs. Hint of spice on the long and luxurious finish. Quite elegant and pristine. Rich and pronounced. Well crafted and balanced but extremely harmonious and delicate at the same time. Excellent! My 11th bottle of an original dozen bought on release. Still going strong after 26 years. Colour of mid crimson with a tawny rim. When decanted the wine threw a lot of sediment. Herbaceous with red fruits - hint of red currants. Palate is mid weight - sweet and savoury at once, finishing with smooth resolved tannins. I will leave the last one for another 1 or 2 years / say early 2027. — 10 months ago

Their Russian River is always pleasant. Needs 3-4 more years in bottle to integrate. 92+ with that kind of age.

The Truffle Mac & Cheese was a big hit with the crowd, I’m allergic to mushrooms.

At Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2025.

The ticket to this event has a pretty big price tag. But when you consider what a Napa etc. tasting or two and lunch would cost you, you are pretty much there and there is so much more than that. It ends up having great value. It’s wine, spirits and food candy land. — 8 months ago
