Rim to rim invariance of black cherry peel with smoky topaz highlights. Nearly Dense and dark as black coffee. Violets shine on a nose of plum , black currant jelly, blueberry-dark chocolate, roses with a tiny whiff of bovine, tilled soil, dried blackberries, and blueberry bran muffin. Graphite and licorice extract keep the fruity nose in check, and the burgeoning power of the palate rushes from the glass. Leather and oak frame the crushed, dried violet, in a grilled herbs de Provence, bing cherry, black cherry, and currant culmination!
What a finish. Lengthy resonance is finally whittled to a raspberry point.

Lovely dessert digestive. A little apple strudel white raisin. Topaz color.sweet with tartness. — 5 years ago
Topaz colored Marzen Lager with orange-beige brim. Oily lacing that doesn’t grip, just slithers like snaky digits, then visually ossifies to porous porcini underbelly. Wheat bread nose, with candy brittle. Lemon tea, cola and balsa. Almost sweet tea greets the tongue, holding the lemon note which gives way to potato bread, and a dash of brown sugar. Sweet elements are not vocal, but do harmonize. A very well orchestrated Marzen which is pleasant, refreshing and adequately complex. Prost!

Topaz with heavenly streamers stretching for perfection. Creamy head of structured perfection in terms of density and longevity. Perfect sheet of fog lacing falls like a slo-mo curtain to reveal layer two of mountain snows reflecting moonlight. Nose of bananas foster in all its blazing brandy and it’s caramelized olfactory topography; a malt image in sensory sepia to match the mountainscape. Nutmeg, cola and pecan dessert vies with baklava. The palate is a revelation in balance. The expected Belgian malt emerges in contrast to a dappled vanilla and Connecticut tobacco, pecan shell dryness, and chicory coffee before returning to a root tonic sweetness, and cardamom. #kwak #belgianspecialbeers #belgianale #belgianbeer #pauwelkwak #pauwelkwakbrewery #beer #bier #birra #biere #ale #ceveza #cerveja #belgium #belgian — 4 years ago
Opened 375ml bottle. Made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca by blending wines that are matured for a minimum of 10 years. Nice topaz color with gentle sweet aromas of spice and almonds. On the palate dried red fruit flavors, well balanced with lively acidity, very fresh taste. Lingering finish ending with pleasant oak and honey tones. One of the best 10 year Tawny's I have tasted. The 375ml was a perfect size. — 6 years ago
Golden yellow color, topaz shade. Beautiful clarity and significant viscosity.
Discreet nose at first glance. Allowed to breathe, the second nose opens up with aromas of dried fruits (apricots, grapes, oranges and peaches).
The attack is supple, structured and tangy.
The palate is spherical, rounded with the impression of biting into a ripe tangerine, then melon and acacia honey complete the aromatic palette during the evolution in the mouth.
Elegant finish with a retro olfaction of fruit paste.
With a lamb tagine with apricots. Or on a caramelized apricot with Etivaz honey, vanilla ice cream. Or on a duck foie gras cooked in a cloth. — a year ago

Penn Brewery märzen. Topaz-Amber body; creamy blonde-touched head of fine mousse. Sheet lacing dissolves to Dover cliffs. Cirrus afterlace. Pretzel bread nose with dried grapefruit peel, apple and pear. Rich mouthfeel and hint of sarsaparilla. Pecan and dark pretzel, lemon dusting and lime oil. Phenomenal offering! Just perfect!
