@Ira Schwartz, all true, he took us to Domaine Chamonard (we were so cold tasting there that our teeth were literally chattering), also Lapalu and Janin in Beaujolais, always in his own cellars, and we’d spend a day at the Marche aux Vins in Ampuis!! In addition to making fabulous wines himself, Eric was so generous with his knowledge and connections, Lenoir in Chinon being another one!!

The initial taste had me as it was so delicate with the red fruit that seemed to gain strength in my mouth. The green note is there but only really as an accent on the finish. CF from Loire Valley is under appreciated. — 9 days ago
