Medium ruby in color; cherries, tomato leaves, and tabacco on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like red currants, raspberries, black paper, dried herbs, and clay pots with a long finish. I love this wine, but Nellie didn'tlike it. — 3 days ago
Great for pizza night! Smooth and the tiniest bit sweet. — 2 days ago
Breathtaking… as complete and as rounded a Solaia as I have ever had. Great aromatics. The perfume was strong and the dark fruit was full of live but also rich. It was as interesting in the 3rd hour as the first. Fantastic bottle! This is why I love wine… — 19 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Consistent throughout. The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva pours a deep garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with lovely notes of tart and ripe red and black fruit: Morello cherry, blackberry, black tea, dried green herbs, dry gravelly earth, and theres a little bit of VA too. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and zippy with a very elegant texture. A lovely example of the 2020 vintage. Drink now through 2035. — 13 days ago
2019 vintage. PNP'd. Medium-heavy body. Lots of extraction and fruit along with corresponding tannic presence. Youthful but still in balance as we speak. A bit aggro as far as Brunello styles go but backing up the hype. Need to revisit in a half-decade after this has a kid and has to settle down and get a job that pays the bills. 10.22.24. — 21 days ago
Grosso! Might be too big if I wasn’t tasting twenty-five other wines. Still, it was quite nice and I would revisit w something tomato. — 10 days ago
Served alongside beef short rib, xo sauce, pickled mustard seed, cumin stir-fried asparagus. This bottle of 2006 was throwing a ton of sediment. Showing mostly red fruits with red currants, new leather, tobacco, earth, forest floor, baking spices…a touch green. Hello Cabernet Franc!! Good structure. The finish is long. Every time I have the opportunity to enjoy Sassicaia, I am reminded why it’s one of the great wines of Italy. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. Drink now through 2036. — 10 days ago

Bit mixed on this wine and to be honest super Tuscans in general. This Tig has some serious secondary shoe leather notes at this point. Still has some quite nice fruit and just barely enough acid, but overall was hoping for a bit more verve. — 20 hours ago
