See previous Note. Old plummie, red cherry notes. Barb said dusty and pine needles. A cooler vintage. I said red cherries and freshly tilled loam. As Galloni said “In 2010 Ama did not bottle their single vineyard selections. All the best fruit went here.” Tasting more the quality of a Brunello than a Chianti Classico. Wow. Still so youthful! Excellent structure to this wine. — 3 months ago
This is the La Casuccia CdA which wasn’t in the Delectable lineup - my third favorite of the CdA dinner - see the Montebuoni and Bellavista notes. Note that we also tasted the ‘07 La Casuccia but didn’t love it - actually seemed to have some funk to it — 5 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2020 “Bucerchiale” pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red fruits: funky cherry, mushroom, horse blanket, pu-erh tea, earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This bottle benefitted from time in the glass and would recommend a 30min decant ahead of service. Drink now through 2030. — a month ago

Bright garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas and flavors of red cherry/raspberry, plums, leather, rose petals and black licorice. Wonderful earthy element on the long finish. Fine silky tannins and beautifully light bodied. Extremely well integrated, long lasting and elegant. Quite the crowd pleaser. — a day ago
