Tre Tine Barolo Nebbiolo 2015

Yummy, needs an hour decant, too easy to keep sipping while trying to watch evolve in glass :) — 2 years ago

Isosceles Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

Amazing wine. Dry, low tannins, smooth and delicious. There's nothing we didn't like about this beauty. Paid $96 for the 2018. — 2 years ago

Dead ringer for an aged (10+ yo) spätlese trocken Riesling. Dried Apricot, peach, mango and petrol. Wow. — 2 years ago

The red fruit is wrapped in hints of blood, slate, smoke. Well integrated oak, good moment of consumption and going strong. Great wine — 2 years ago

BonAnno

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Enjoyed this wine. Everything you want from a California cab. Dry, lots of dark fruits. Tobacco and dark cherry on the nose. Paired nicely with a rich dinner of pork remoulade and pumpkin ravioli. Would love to have again. — 2 years ago

Turley

Hayne Vineyard Petite Syrah 2019

Wow. This is one of the most accessible young (released 10/21) petite syrahs I’ve had from Turley. Inky almost black, violet and dark fruit on the nose. So rich it feels warm and thick with cherry cream and a hint of vanilla. Mild tannins and low acid. For a wine that often needs to be laid down for 10+ years, the 2019 is delicious now. Wonder how it will evolve. — 2 years ago

Corison

St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Blueberry, plum, spice, hint of menthol. From the ripe, warm 2017 vintage, a bit more alcohol for Corison then is the norm, yet delicious still. At Beth’s house while John makes his signature pork noodles and Liam pontificates about all things wine. — 2 years ago

Château Lafite Rothschild

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1989

Medium dark rubi robe, open nose with cedar, blackcurrant, hints of kirsch and asian spices. Very long and elegant, medium bodied, we had it with friends around a steak with champignons. Perfect match, great friends and food. Wine is singing now but no rush, classic claret at its best. Enthusiastically recommended. — 2 years ago

Imperial Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2016

Happy anniversary to us! This wine is phenomenal. I can’t even imagine where this goes in 5, 10, or 20 years. — 2 years ago
