This 09 was upgraded to 100 points by Lisa Perrotti formerly of Robert Parker in 2020. I didn’t taste a 💯 & the first time she & I have been this far apart.

This 09 was velvety, smooth, beautiful & elegant with nicely ripe fruits. But, it really lacked the depth & complexity I have come to expect from this producers bottling.

Touched into 94 with a few sips. Decanted a 1 1/2 hours & enjoyed over the next two hours.

100% tempranillo, aged in oak for 2 years. Deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, spice and herb notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of oak and black pepper notes. Fine soft tannins, great balance with acidity, long finish ending with fruit, vanilla, oak and slight earthy spice character. Will age short term! — 7 months ago

Pale lemon with aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Made from 40-year old vines, aged in 100% stainless steel. On the palate flavors of bright lemon citrus with crisp apple and peach notes. 100% Tempranillo, about 12 mos in mostly new French oak. Deep Ruby, aromas of dark fruits, spice, floral and earthy oak. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry & currants with tobacco, licorice and gentle bits of cedar. Tannins, are tight supporting the backbone of the wine, needs more bottle age, resist opening now. Well balance with acidity, full body, long finish ends with some fruit, spice, and earthy character. Fruit forward palate notes ripe plum and black currant with distinctive notes of vanilla, black pepper and grilled herbs. Touch of graphite and saline on the medium-plus luxurious finish. ✔️ 잔 주위로 풍부하게 퍼지는 체리•블랙베리•레드베리 향
✔️ 오픈하자마자 얼씨한 미네랄리티가 바로 느껴지고, 풍부한 오크•가죽 향도 좋았음
✔️ 1시간 병 브리딩 한 후에 마셨는데도 1.5시간까지 덜 풀린 타닌이 이 사이에 꽤 남고, 산미도 덜 올라와서 더 열려야겠다 싶었음
✔️ 2시간 후부터 타닌이 풀리면서 벨벳같은 질감이 느껴지고, 발사믹 피니쉬도 특히 매력적이었음
