Some nice Malbec to pair with steak and sides. — 7 months ago
Interesting, it shows like a Cahors with a lovely violet purple nose and rustic tannin on the palate. It will be interesting to see what age delivers. — 2 years ago
I like this Malbec. It provides the robust, mineral and spicy notes you expect from the high altitude vineyards in Argentina, but it’s balanced with ripe fruit and a smooth short to medium finish. — 23 days ago
Bold Jammy flavor with a nice spice finish — 10 months ago
The 2020 Nicolás Catena Zapata is a blend composed of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Malbec and 20% Cabernet Franc sourced from Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley. It was carefully aged for up to 16 months in French oak barrels. Garnet in hue. The nose reveals captivating cassis, rose, blackberry, plum and fig aromas harmoniously combined with dried flowers. The palate presents a dry and ample profile, with fine-grained tannins and a juicy flow that leads to a vibrant mouthfeel, brimming with energy. This meticulously crafted red achieves precise balance in a warm vintage. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, September 2023)

Dark fruits, eucalyptus, pepper!! Yumm — 2 hours ago
Sourced from a vineyard at 1,100 metres in Paraje Altamira, deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, herb, leather and spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberries with citrus, leather and spice, fine tannins, well balanced long finish ending with an earthy mineral and tobacco spice character. Nice! — 2 months ago

A very good wine. It is elegant, complexity notes of aromas and flavours and a long finish!
