Medium deep ruby , quite wide ruby rim . Bit more wood spice on the nose , touch of herbal cassis , blackberry. On the palate quite rigid dark fruits , with a touch of vanilla , blackcurrant and blackberry . Quite grippy tannins with quite good acidity. Decent length with a bit more grafite and tobacco . This probably needs a little time to round out the rather grippy tannins , so better in 5 years and will last well a further 10-15 — 2 months ago
2018 Far Niente Cabernet. Love this vineyard and their signature cab is outstanding! Very nice bouquet, rich with dark fruits, blackberry, plum and light earth notes. Thick long lasting legs. Very smooth on the palette. Rich ripe fruit at the start with blackberry. Finish is smooth with light berry notes. Very low tannins. Love it! Paired well with a big Italian meal with lasagna and sausage. — 3 months ago
Crafted by Joseph J. Wagner, 4th generation winemaker, with winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, tea and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of jammy blackberry and cherry with pronounced sweet vanilla oak, cacao and pepper spice notes. Soft tannins and bright acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a long finish ending with toasty spice! Nice! — a month ago
Aromas of cherry, dark fruit, blackberry balanced with the vanilla bordeaux smokey sweetness of oaky French oak aging. Beyond the Aromas, the taste is what separates this - incredible plum, tobacco fruity finish which has a thick smooth texture. — a month ago
2003 vintage. Cedar and cinnamon lead into coffee rye and toasted black sesame, baked blackberry and plums, baked black currant and elderberry. Tertiary leather and pipe tobacco, with a jammy cassis to licorice finality. Silky smooth palate exhibits dark berries and a touch of smoke and graphite swirling around charred oak and cinnamon.

Medium ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, cassis, licorice, and vanilla. Plus body, plus acid, plus tannins. Exquisitely smooth and integrated on the palate, with soft, grainy tannins. Even a hint of banana on the palate. Long finish. Drinking well now but well worth cellaring. 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot. — 13 days ago
