What a gem! Rich ruby w/mild bricking at edge: gorgeous nose of dusty red & black fruit and tons of secondary notes - anywhere from coffee, tobacco, cassis, licorice & cocoa to dried herbs & minerals, very finely delineated red berried fruit at times, vein of minerality cutting through nose & palate. You can smell & taste the Tempranillo & Merlot individually. Med bodied w/finely grained tannins, regal bearing, integrated acidity and lingering finish. Going back to buy whatever they have left. Bump for QPR. Great chance to taste mature wine in the pocket — a year ago
The 2022 Rosé Sancerre teases the senses with curry leaves and crushed rocks before revealing crushed nectarines. It's soft and round with a balancing core of saline minerals. Crisp white pit fruits give way to lemon oil notes. This finishes dry yet thoroughly fresh, with a chalk sensation nicely offset by a bump of residual acidity. The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino is dreamy, wafting up with dusty rose, crushed cherries and sage. This flows across the palate with ease, energetic and lifted with a solid core of ripe wild berry fruits that slowly drench the palate in youthful tension. A coating of fine-grained tannins remains offset by a bump of residual acidity, tapering off spicy and long. This is maturing beautifully in bottle. (Eric Guido, Vinous, September 2024)

Creamy lemon, some dank umami-ness and thick mousse. Off the beaten path and great with a caviar bump — 3 years ago

2021 vintage. PNP'd. Not nearly as explosive and satisfying as that damned 2019 vintage and less body than the corresponding 2020 vintage but a bit more depth and a tad more spice than 2020. A Trader Joe's spesh at $15.99. Think it'll add a little more body and Beatles Come Together notes in the next 6 months-2 years and maybe bump up to a 9.1. At that price, picked up a few bottles to have at the haus through the holidays. 11.5.25. — 15 days ago
