The 2017 'Cuvée Theo' from Domaine Weinbach was aged for ten months in oak prior to bottling and was sourced from the Clos des Capucins vineyard, which is set on sandy silt soil with fractured granite. The wine shows moderate sweetness with ripe candied ginger, sweet peach, mango and apricot tones, with a racy minerality. Complex and highly gratifying now, this stunning wine will continue to evolve for well over a decade. Drink 2019-2035-93 — 6 years ago
Floral and mineral driven with grapefruit (tart) underripe lemon. Driven by acidity with a long finish. — 7 years ago
A delightful, refreshing wine. Pear, apricot, butter, and almond. Medium-bodied. — 3 days ago
Vintage 2003 / I like this low yield wine from Cot because it has a rich smell combining shy red fruit and earthyness. Not an easy middle of the road wine, it needs cellaring to fully give its expressions and even now after 16 years it has much future left. A certain stubborness, better call it character. Much to discover. Paired with one of my favorite dishes: meatballs from lamb and fresh capucins with a mild mustard fond/sauce. — 6 years ago

Highly aromatic, rose petals and floral, red berry fruit as well, quite suave and smooth on the palate, still needs 3-5 years of cellaring, maybe just a tad finer than the Barmes-Buecher, but both are excellent, long, lingering finish, also purchased en situ in May of 2019. — 4 days ago
