Dark red purple. Inviting nose and medium full, fruit-forward (for a European) palate of blueberry-blackberry compote. Bright medium acidity and medium minus tannins that mostly assert back-palate. Dark and slightly bitter finish (Touriga Nacional showing). Fine example of Portuguese non-Porto red. Ready for hearty entrées like roasted beef or pork. Drink now through 2028. — a month ago

Double decant and pour(decent chunky/fine sediment). A striking still dark purplish ruby red color. On the nose: A big inviting nose of dark fruit, tobacco, forest floor, stewed meat, minty menthol, floral. Taste: smooth, layered, savory wine with a little plum/blueberry, chocolate, earth, pepper, dried herbs, minerals, and a nice medium plus finish with a little tannic kick. YUM! Still very drinkable and should hold for more years of drinking pleasure. A Heidi Barrett wine...popped to fire up for a Heidi & Bo Barrett wine dinner next week. — 5 days ago
