Quit good, tobacco and earth. Started very good but then dissipated slightly. Went well with roasted duck. — 3 months ago
Blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon, aged in oak for 8 months. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with biscuit and floral notes. On the palate flavors of peach, apple and melon with white floral herb notes. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, herb and yeasty notes, lively acidity with slight mineral character. Small production, nice! — 4 months ago
The 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Les Safres checks in at 14.98% alcohol. A short élevage of four months in stainless steel neatly preserved the vivid freshness. Combining fragrant honeysuckle, yellow apple, lime flesh and white peach aromas, the medium- to full-bodied 2023 closes with persistence on the sapid finale. Production totaled only 2,593 bottles. Deep yellow gold. Abundant nose of dried quince and yellow flowers. Echoed on the medium light palate with white pepper and a light bit of balsa wood. Medium acidity and a long, palate-continuing finish. An unusual combination of lightness and oak driven weight that tastes heavier than it is making an excellent starter and meal wine. Drink now through 2027. — a year ago

Tryna stay sober through the evening. Fig, bacon fat, leather, plenty of eucalyptus and mint, a bit of oregano and cherry/pomegranate on the long finish. Wow! — 3 days ago
