2007: Wow. Phenomenal Chateauneuf with tons of character. Viscous, very rich, nicely concentrated with plenty of minerals and funk to balance the still-persistent purple fruit. Can’t imagine this getting any better with more age but plenty left. — 7 months ago

Sublime Chateauneuf du Pape.velvety smooth with luscious red and dark fruit. — 6 months ago
Simple but nice, especially after being open for a couple of days. Cherry, raspberry, and a bit of mint on the nose. Not terribly tannic. The first CDP I’ve tasted that is actually drinkable! — 10 months ago
The 2007 Vieux Telegraphe, enjoyed here from half bottle, encapsulates everything so wonderful about Chateauneuf-du-Pape, coming from very old vines on the fabled plateau of La Crau. Pungent aromatics; an ethereal cacophony of sweet cranberry, blackcurrant, strawberry, liquorice, blood orange, white pepper and garrigue (in spades), with airy elegance and poise. The palate follows in much the same style, graceful and welcoming, adding flecks of sweet vanilla. There is, however, a core of iron and solid structure that ties everything together. This is accomplished stuff, even in such a brilliant vintage as 2007, and this elegant, complex CNdP warrants a high score – and further ageing. — 7 months ago

Outstanding, soulful and rich, this is classic in every sense of the word for a Chateauneuf du Pape. Aged 14 years, this is a lot more primary and less evolved than I would have expected, which makes me love this more for the high quality that shows and it's ability to get even better with more cellar time. Full bodied, a silky and velvety palate feel, with gently intense fruit and spice, long on the finish. A whopper at 15.5% but it wears it well, perfect balance!
Deep ruby red core, ruby edges. Really pretty red hues. The nose is pronounced with black raspberry, black cherry, damson, with garrigue, garden herbs, subtle spices and roasted meat. The palate is med+ to full bodied with velvety tannins, plenty of alcohol, and a very balanced, rich, flavor intensity, and a long finish, easy going with a classic profile. — a month ago
