Consistency is their middle name.
This has just started to shift from fresh to aging.
Bruised red apple/pear, lemon, lime zest, tropical melons, drier stone fruits, whipped cream, ginger, brioche, graham cracker, very light caramel/butterscotch notes, grey volcanics, limestone marl, sea fossils, gritty chalk, white & yellow flowers with greens, excellent lively acidity and a well balanced-knitted, elegant & smartly polished finish that lasts near two-minutes. — a month ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2023 pours a ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with an explosion of smoked blackberry pie, purple flowers, bacon fat, olive, black pepper, and subtle warm spices. On the palate the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose however, the wine finishes much more elegant than the nose would suggest. The bouquet might lead one to think this is possibly over the top. However, on the palate, it was far more elegant. Another vintage, another stunning Gonon. Drink now through 2043. — 8 days ago

This 10 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Rich, elegant and fruit forward.
Drinking at its peak now. Nicely balanced and smooth, with a soft mouthfeel.
Delicious right out of the bottle, and even better after 30 minutes of airtime. I did not decant it, but let it open up in the bottle. Really enjoyed the nose after an hour of airtime.
Easy drinking, and good by itself as a sipping wine, or with a nice piece of steak.
A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
