Love this Riesling from Long Shadows. You’d easily think Walla Walla Riesling would be a hot sugar bomb like your mom due to the climate but not so here. 12.5abv, nice acid, a wee bit of residual sugar. Dig it. — a month ago
Really good Syrah. Wahluke slope always delivers. With some air this wine opened up beautifully. — 2 months ago
Crisp apple notes, fresh floral aromas, and perfect straw color. Intense sweetness balanced out by acidity and dryness — 2 months ago

This wine has barely any color at all, just a very faint yellow-green tint. The nose is nice. There is a slight trace of petrol, which I always love to find in a Riesling. More dominant is a lanolin note which joins a light floral aroma. The palate straddles the fence between dry and sweet, offering up some tasty stone fruit and a savory side marked by gentle spices and a workable acidity. I would like a drier wine better, but I drank this quaff gladly and poured another. — 2 months ago
A pleasant surprise, I haven’t had one of these for years, but this was delicious. — a month ago
A garnet hue with a ring of ruby red catches your eye at first glance. Lots of red raspberries and black berries followed by dark chocolate, black pepper, oak and prolific earth. Great structure with lively acidity, balanced tannins leaving a zingy finish of black currants and a peppery bite. — 2 months ago

2021 vintage. Tasted via Coravin. So. Much. Sweet. Oak. Much less concentration, mineral influence and grip than expected/recalled from previous vintages. Granted, tasting this 15 years too youthfully but, still, underwhelming. Honestly, a total waste of my time. Hurtz to say that as I consider this as one of, if not THE, best WA wine made. Just never rocked the boat, in a positive way, in any aspect. Would get totally blown out in a blind CA/WA/BDX Cab/Cab blend tasting in the $40-$50 range. Unimpressive. 5.29.24. — 12 days ago
