From 100% Wente clones that get max hang time, large and tiny berries packed together, pale lemon with subtle aromas of citrus and stone fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, lemon and lime flavors, crisp acidity, long finish ending with rich mineral character. Perfect now! — 2 months ago
Quite nice with Pat’s meatloaf ($25). Rich inky Cabernet Sauvignon. — 3 months ago
Popped and poured on July 4th after enjoying the day’s frivolities; enjoyed over the following few days and consistent throughout. The 2011 pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe dark fruits: plums, brambles, cassis, espresso, mushrooms, leather, purple flowers, toe jam, earth and Christmas fruit cake. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose though the fruit comes across much fresher on the palate. The finish is medium+. The texture is soft and super silky. Despite 2011 being a challenging vintage from a Napa perspective, this was quite distinctive and complex, though maybe lacking a bit of stuffing. Stylistically however, this Kapcsándy is a refreshing take on a modern Napa Valley, Cabernet-based blend at a svelte 13.9% ABV. Bravo! Drink now through 2031. — a day ago
Beautiful layered aromatics after decanting - medium body with minimal tannins, but long and elegant with notes of dark berries - 2019 vintage

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Deep purple/ Inky in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose with black fruits, tobacco, vanilla, licorice, cedar and chocolate notes.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, black plums, tobacco, cedar, licorice, vanilla, spices, chocolates, herbs, light earth and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This young Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is starting to drink very nicely now. Elegant and rich.
Fruit forward with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. A good sipping wine. Balanced and easy drinking.
Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.
A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. Aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 20 months. Unfined and unfiltered.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
