2006 vintage. 426 cases produced, 3rd vintage from Jonata. Good fill and excellent (if slightly dry) cork. Decanted with little sed and tasted after 2.25 hours. Whiffable, earthy nose. Light-medium body. Tremendous, dark cherry concentration flavor-wise. A token offering of richness perceived just behind the front teeth on the roof of the mouth/palate. Instructive. 7.6.24. — 3 months ago
The 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is such a unique wine. Bright floral aromatics and lively acids make a strong opening statement. Pomegranate, blood orange, raspberry jam, slate, crushed rocks and clean mineral notes all drive through this heady, explosive Syrah. This is a magical wine from Joey Tensley. Strawberries, watermelon, nice acidity. Pound town. California rosé > French rosé. — 3 months ago
Light garnet color. Very interesting nose and palate of red fruits, rose petals, dried herbs, black tea, bergamot and sweet baking spices. Hint of eucalyptus on the long, complex and earthy finish. Smooth tannins. Lively, bright and very well balanced. Nice concentration for a light bodied wine. Excellent! — 2 months ago

Big wine. Black olives and herbs. Probably should have had it with dinner. Would have been so good with a chop or bolognese. — a month ago
