1hr+ decant. I find Continuum extremely inconsistent and therefore overpriced. Dark red color. Stewed fruit, alcohol, olives, and oak on the nose. Wine is very astringent, tannic, and tart. Hits the palate like a razor blade. CDP elements on the finish. Maybe an insanely long decant would help, but doubt it. Some bottles great, some not so….a conundrum! — 5 days ago

84% Cabernet Sauvignon; 5.5% Merlot; 5.5% Cabernet Franc; 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Blackberry and black currant fruit, with chocolate, espresso, earth and a mineral note. Nicely balanced. — 18 days ago

1989 vintage. Opened but not decanted. Just got a (generous) side sample of this as I was entrenched with the weekly wine rep tastings. Tasted after 30 mins and one hour after opening. Definitely bretty (as expected) for the first tastes but that mostly dissipated by the end of the glass. Light-medium body with mostly bowed tannins initially. Longer it remained in the glass, the more the tannins came out to frolic. Still plenty of structure, fruit and front-palate intrigue (usually hidden/buried by tannins). Not improving at this point but-depending on storage and/or bottle size-still more than viable and deserving of massive respect. 01.29.25. — 15 days ago

This wine needs time. Time in the bottle, in a decanter, or time in the glass at the very least (it gets more approachable by the minute, trust me). This is big, bold and bountiful; with the fruit, the body, the tannins and even the finish. Just pair with something just as big. — 16 days ago

2011 Vintage. Black pepper and anise on the nose. Medium mouth feel with toasted nuts and anise on the tongue. Blackberry on the finish. I enjoyed the glass by itself. Would be better with prime rib. — 13 days ago
