Most of the love in the Ulysse Collin lineup goes to the BdB’s but I am a big fan of the Maillons, particularly recent renditions. They’re more giving on release, always so demonstrative and aromatically expressive, and this one, based on the 2017 vintage is no exception, wafting layers of defined orchard fruit, bread dough and wildflower honey. The palate is both concentrated and focused with racy acids, a wonderfully textural mousse and a bright, energetic and mineral laced finale. Top notch Blanc de Noirs to no surprise. — 8 days ago
Light golden in color.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Showing limes, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, light earth, minerals and black pepper.
Spicy finish with bitter almonds.
This is a delicious Sauvignon Blanc From the Loire Valley in France. Rich and elegant. Much more buttery than I expected it to be.
Still young and needs at least 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. I had the 2014 not too long ago, and it was even better.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Good by itself or with food.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

I never would have anticipated drinking my birth year of Cheval Blanc out of a Solo cup yet, here we are. The ‘81 is ruddy still; deep garnet color with some browning towards the rim and loads of sediment. The nose shows some of the telltale green-ness of vintage but everything has found harmony: the fruit has blossomed and structure has integrated. Dark fruited with tobacco, dried purple flowers, mushrooms, herbs and soft eastern spices. Charming! No particular rush to drink these but lovely now. — 8 days ago
Nice cab. Good nose. Balanced. Enjoyed at Sushisamba at the Venetian in LV. — 7 days ago
@Kay Delectable this is the grand sec wine only the second vintage made of this (2020 was the first). Interesting wine which needs a decant at this time to open up. — 9 hours ago
Delicious Yquem from a blockbuster vintage. Enjoyed with foie gras chawanmushi at 15E Tocqueville — 11 days ago

Pale lemon. One the nose- apple, pear, peach, citrus, and a grassy/herbaceous note that I can’t put my finger on. Burst of grapefruit and pineapple with some minerality on the palate. Medium body. Nice, zesty acidity. Was a bit tight at first out of the bottle. Best to let it breathe a bit and losen up some. Fun and cheeky wine! — 4 months ago
