Rich dark fruit nose. The palate is less rich with tart cherry acidity. It was great with the beet salad we had with dinner then also great with the steak and mushrooms for the main course. Very interesting wine. — a month ago
SPEC TA CU LAR! Here you feel the absolute majesty of a wine who can be promoted to at least 2nd growth. Cedar, camphor, eucalyptus, butterscotch/4 spices, yellow curry. I’ve always loved ‘00 in Pauillac has I think it’s the last great of the classic style. Definitely this bottling is a keeper. — 23 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose with blue and red fruits.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and easy drinking.
Showing raspberries, blueberries, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, tobacco, herbs, light earth, dried tomatoes, chocolates and black pepper.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Gran Reserva from Rioja is always a good choice. Showing nice complexity with a smooth mouthfeel.
Rich and elegant with good balance.
Drinks very young right now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Needs an hour to open up, but good right out of the bottle too.
I've had many different vintages of this wine, and it always delivers. My favorite so far was the 2004.
14% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

We recently had this by the glass at Peaks, NYC. We enjoyed it so much that we bought a few bottles. While I consider this to be a “construction site,” I respect what the Wagner’s have accomplished. Not gonna bother with tasting notes as this is just a cherry compote fruit bomb. Tasted using a coravin as a few glasses represents a meal on its own. — 4 days ago
Excellent!!! Deep Ruby with plum, black currant, stewed cherries, cedar, spices, and tobacco. Smooth with a great finish. Terrific with our Chimichurri Flank steak. Visited the winery in May 2023 and it was a fantastic tasting and knew I had to take a few bottles home. — 12 days ago
Transparent ruby red. Cherry, oak. Spices. Plum, raspberry blackberry mushroom. Black currant. Mid+, 2 hours decanting would be minimum. Barbaresco Riserva Pora Produttori Del Barbaresco 15 @2450, wine plus- BBQ, 240606 — a month ago
Usually not a huge fan of Italian wines, but yeah, have been buying some Sassicaia over the years. As I put away some wines I stumble across this 2012 that should be ready to drink, so I bring it upstairs to decant it. Great nose and typical flavor profiles emerge. Nice acidity and a some background menthol flavors that remind me of some great Chateau Musar vintages. This is a vibrant wine with tannins still strong, but integrated; better on day 2.
Not one of my favorite wines, no surprise, but a solid well-made enjoyable Bordeaux blend — 2 months ago

Excellent as usual. Minerals, herbs, crisp acidity. Elisabeth Foradori’s genius. Drank in Leipzig, Germany. Usually in San Francisco, USA where we live. — a day ago
