scored a split on closeout and it was tasty! probably just starting its gentle decline w/some musty oxidative aromas, but it also had engaging smoke & spice, worn leather, sour cherry, red currant, hint of vanilla & cocoa, sweet soil and other earth driven elements. med bodied, well worn tannins and some acidity presented a fairly balanced palate. usually priced out of Brunello so this was a treat! — 7 days ago

Last had this vintage a couple years ago. These obviously have a long life ahead of them. With some nice air, this does open up. Wonderful dark fruit and earth aromas. Tannins are quite present and a bit bitter (not in a bad way at all). Excellent acid on the finish. Delicious pairing with kinderhook pork chops with tutto porchetta seasoning. — 17 days ago

Medium Ruby with aromas of berry fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and red plum with pepper spice, burnt toast and herbs. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with raw fruit, spice and earthy character. Nice now! — 11 days ago
