Have not had in 3.5 years and wow this is drinking so well. A superstar. Nose is all wet earth, decay, sweet spices and macerated cherries. Palate is a wonder of juicy cherry fruit, freshness and layered complexity. Dead leaves, buoyant acidity and a long, lingering finish. Needs some time to open but man is this great out of the bottle. As this airs the palate complexity is so compelling. The tannins are so oh so fine. This after many hours was so elegant and fine. Meaty and pure. This is drinking perfectly now after an hour open. — 15 days ago

Vintage Port Blend 1970

A bottle as old as life itself. Birth year. Perfectly stunning condition. Still very fresh, rich and opulent with dark berries, dark coffee and slight spice yet drinks with incredible finesse and sophistication. Still young — 21 days ago

@Delectable - this PN is from different regions in CA but it showed seamlessly. guess i was ready to dislike this as mass produced plonk, but i was pleasantly surprised: inky w/cherries galore on the nose but also some tea & sassafras, bit of earthiness too - smooth on palate, generous, silky and balanced leading to decent finish. there is no distinct terroir and it's primarily fruit driven but it hit the spot on a weeknight and offers solid QPR — 15 days ago

Semi-Dry Finger Lakes Riesling 2021

Very well balanced semi-dry. Has the zesty, moderate acidity of a dry Riesling to show off minerally and lime zest notes. Finishes sweet without being cloying. — a month ago

X Novo Vineyard Chardonnay 2023

2023 vintage. Curious as to how Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet (starts in the $400's a btl) tastes, this is an excellent place to start. This effort clocks in at under $100 a btl. 04.23.25. — a month ago

Nice. Not tried this vineyard but I think @Ron R put me on to this producer.

La Combe Verte Chardonnay 2023

Considered white Burgundy or Etna Bianco.
Called Canary Islands. Salty and reductive.
Lots of acid. Should’ve considered Willamette as this reminds me of Morgen Long wines. Good vintage for most of the west coast.

Hilltop Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

After opening a bottle, and allowing it to air, I spotted my review from October 2023 while sipping and reading other reviews. Holding this one for another year and a half shows that it does indeed improve with age. Not as good on day two tho. If you open it, drink it! — 2 months ago
